Issues resolved amicably between conflict victims, Moirang AC MLA

Bishnupur, December 27 2023: The misunderstanding which led to the scuffle between conflict victims from Churachandpur and Moirang AC MLA has been resolved amicably.

Churachandpur Meitei Ethnic Clash Victim Committee secretary, Naba Ningthoujam informed that the issue and misunderstandings associated have been clarified and settled in a peaceful way after a meeting was held with the MLA following the unfortunate incident yesterday.

Naba was addressing media persons during a press meet held today at Moirang Kangla in connection with the incident.

He maintained that yesterday's incident was really unfortunate and it was the result of miscommunication between the MLA and the conflict victims.

He also expressed gratitude to the MLA and the residents of Moirang who have been extending best possible help to the conflict victims from Churachandpur and other places taking refuge at various relief camps in Moirang.

Meanwhile, Kege Moirang Kendra Apunba Lup (KEMKAL) and Moirang Apunba Meira Paibee Ima Lup (MAMPIL) have asserted that the residents of Moirang have not abandoned the conflict victims residing at the various relief camps in Moirang and maintained that yesterday's incident was an unfortunate episode.

The above was informed during a press meet held at Moirang today attended by members of KEMKAL and MAMPIL.
