1st MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament : TCMDC thrash YWC-L by 7 wickets for third win on trot

TCMDC, Thongju thrashed YWC, Langthabal by 7 wickets for the third straight Group A victory in the ongoing 1st MNCAU-14 Boys Tournament at PTRC ground, Patsoi today.
Having beaten MPA and AKSDO in the previous two matches, TCMDC bowled out YWC for 116 in 21.5 overs and cruised to a winning 118 for 3 wickets down within 16.4 overs to seal their third win in the tourney and end YWC's two game winning streak.
With the win TCMDC are atop Group A table with 6 points while PTRC are second with two of two wins so far.
With Laishram Valindra (3/16), Vishonath Laishram (2/33) and Phanjoubam Nikesh (2/23) producing exemplary bowling performance, YWC who elected to bat first faced a torrid time from the onset of the innings and were bundled out for 116 thanks to 52 extra runs conceded by TCMDC.
Yumnam Achouba Singh was the highest run getter for the Langthabal side with 20 runs followed by Yumnam Athouba (18) and Yumnam Sushil (12) as other batters fell cheaply.
In the chase, Rain Urikhinbam starred with an unbeaten knock of 50 off 38 balls to steer TCMDC to winning 118 after the team lost both the openers, Takhellambam Nganba (6) and Laishram Valinda (10) to Yumnam Athouba and Vishonath (6) to Yumnam Brightson.
Rain Urikhinbam who clinched a wicket and struck an unbeaten 38-ball 50 was adjudged man of the match.
ESU, Wangkhei will play TRAU, Kwakeithel in the next match (Group B) tomorrow at PCC ground, Mayaikoibi.
