11th Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament : Satudai, Toubul, Namthanlong script slender wins, Chingmeirong hold Longmai

Satudai, Toubul and Namthanlong secured narrow wins against their respective rivals in today's matches of the 11th Jadonang Memorial Football tournament organised by Zeliangrong Football Association at Thangmeiband Athletic Union (THAU) sports complex.
Chingmeirong was held to a 1 -1 draw by Longmai in the last match of the day.
Loveson Gangmei's 44th minute goal in the first half was enough for Satudai to secure win against Majorkhul in the first match of the day.
It was almost an evenly matched game but luckless Majorkhul missed every chances they got and their targets went too wide.
Though Satudai won the match, they had a bad disciplinary record today as Sinchu-ingam was yellow carded in the early 5th minute.
Gaimei-khuan Kamei who was booked yellow card in the 31st minute had to sent off the field as he committed the same mistake again in the 61st minute.
The second match between Toubul and Kadi was almost similar to the previous match as the former won the game by a narrow 1-0 margin.
Kennedy Kamei struck the opener for Toubul in the 26th minute of the match.
Kadi also tried hard to return into the game but their attempts went abegging in front of the Toubul team which played a defensive mode today.
Kennedy Kamei and Chugaingam of Toubul were yellow carded in the 16th and 23rd minute respectively.
In the third encounter of the day, Namthanlong came from behind to edge out Chuangphun by a narrow 2-1 margin in a hard fought match.
Chuangpun took the lead through an early goal scored by D Gaitaklung in the 12th minute.
Stung by the goal, Namthanlung pressed more on their forward and the mid field and they succeeded in restoring parity in the 36th minute when L Gangampou found the back of the net.
Both teams tried their best to break the deadlock but could not bring much changes till the end of the first half.
After the restart, both teams resumed their raids and it was in the 54th minute that Namthanlong raced ahead to take the 2-1 lead as well placed Gangampou made his feet useful to struck his second goal.
The later part of the match saw some close attempts from Chuangphun side which were dealt with ease by Namthanlong's defence line.
In the last match of the day, Chingmeirong opened the account through Nemthailung Rongmei in the 10th minute to take a 1-0 lead in the first half.; Longmai also struggled hard to restore parity but were unsuccessful in the first half.
After the breather, Longmai concentrated more in the midfield and started to stretch Chingmeirong's defense line using the flanks.
Soon, K Dinbuipou of Longmai found a crack and went deep in the box untouched to sent home the ball in the 55th minute.
With; score levelled at 1-1, both teams carried on their raids against one another but coulg not break the parity till tfif final whistle.
Namching will play Dimdaijing at 8.30 am to morrow.
In the evening; session, Sairem will take off Chingkhulong at 1 pm while Namkaolong will face Langthabal Khoupum at 2.30 pm.
