State team finish runners up in 16th Aerobic Gymnastics National Championship

Imphal, March 28 2022: In a delightful news, State teams returned as the runners up by amassing as many as 6 medals, 5 gold and a bronze in the 16th Aerobic Gymnastics National Championships held at Bangalore from March 26 to 27 .

It may be noted only 7 athletes, including three players in a sub-junior girls team represented Manipur in the tournament and all the players managed to seal a medal each to make the State proud in the championships.

Winning gold medals for the State are Ariha Pangamban (individual senior girl), Leishilembi Chabungbam (Individual junior girl), Anjori Pangambam (individual sub-junior girl) and Thoihenba Heikrujam (National Development Category individual boys) .

Anjori Pangambam also won a gold medal teaming up with Maliyani Konsam and Bembee Chingsubam in the sub-junior girls' trio event as Mutum Romesh Singh settled for a bronze medal in the sub-junior boys' individual event.

The State team were led by Ph Mayabati Devi (Coach) and P Akhelo (Team manager) .
