Imphal, October 14 2014:
The State kick boxing team bagged the runners up title while the Maharashtra team clinched the champion title of the 17th Junior National Kick Boxing Championship organised by World Association of Kick Boxing Organisation (WAKO) held from October 10 to 13 at Pune.
A 40-member team from Manipur including 11 girls participated at the championship.
The State team grabbed 24 medals (12 gold, 4 silver and 8 bronze) while Maharasthra with one gold ahead bagged 20 medals.
Dara Khaidem of Nawang Academy, Sekta was tagged the best fighter of Pro India Junior Open Professional Fighter.
