Imphal, June 28 2013 :
Helped by a brilliant knock of 80 from 66 balls by S Sushil Bose, Re-youngstar(REYS), Nagamapal crushed CRAU, Tera Khamnam bazar by 109 runs to remain in contention for the play-off round of the inaugural BP & GP Memorial Trophy cricket tournament currently underway at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Opting to bat first in a Group A match today, REYS piled up 174 all out in the 35-over game with eventual man of the match winner Sunil Bose finding the boundary rope four times and two huge sixes, and dimming Jayenta's five-wicket haul for the Tera side.
The CRAU run chase ended in 19.2 overs with only 65 runs on the board.
The win put REYS on par with Model Club at 12 points each but the latter still have a match in hand.
Winless THAU, Thangmeiband and YWC, Langthabal (8 points) will play tomorrow in a crucial Group A tie.
