Local clubs demand roads to be repaired

Local clubs of Thangmeiband have warned the State government of launching intense agitations if the roads of Thangmeiband Watham Leirak and Yumnam Leikai, which have been affected by Sewerage Project, are not repaired at the earliest.
Addressing media persons at the office of Thangmeiband Improvement Club (TIC, General Secretary of the Club Takhellambam Tomba said that the important roads of Thangmeiband Watham Leirak and Yumnam Leikai have been affected seriously by the Sewerage Project and they are now in a deplorable condition.
MLA of Thangmeiband Constituency Kh Joykishan had raised the issue in the ongoing Assembly Session, but Works Minister Kh Ratankumar simply replied that there is no fund for road repair, he noted.
The residents of Thangmeiband have strongly condemned the irresponsible response of Works Minister and threatened to launch agitations to shift out the Assembly Complex if the roads are not repaired within a short time.
