SMYC clinch 1st U-17 Sadar Hills open football title

S Molnom Youth Club (SMYC) defeated Noplai FC 6-4 via the tie break to clinch the first U-17 Sadar Hills Open football tournament today at Brig Thomas ground, Kangpokpi.
A total of 17 teams took part in the tournament organised by J Songtun Youth Club in collaboration with DSA, Sadar Hills.
The closing ceremony today was attended by Chongpu Kipgen, CEO, Sadar Hills ADC as the chief guest.
SMYC was presented a Golden Trophy with a cash prize of Rs 25,000 while runner up team Noplai FC, Molsang received Rs 15,000 and a Shield Cup.
Third place Huilhi FC, Phailen got Rs 5,000 .
Lenminlun Kipgen of SMYC and Sehgouhao Khongsai of Kanggui Youth Union bagged the best goalkeeper and best striker award while Lungouhao Sitlhou of Motbung Youth Club and Jamlenmang Kipgen of Bongmol Youth Club won the best midfielder and best defender awards respectively.
