MSF opposes abolition of Bengali High School

Manipur Students' Federation (MSF) has clearly stated on Friday it is against the State Government's abolition of Bengali High School, Babupara.
At a press meet at its head office here, federation president Kh Serajuddin reiterated that Ram Krishna Mission should be set up somewhere else and not at the existing Bengali High School complex.
As many as seven young students of the school fainted on Thursday during a protest rally launched against the abolition, he said and added that the students were being harassed by the Government's wrong policy.
He demanded that the Government immediately revoke the order.
Fund sanctioned for the proposed Ram Krishna Mission should not be used in such a way that it goes against the wishes of the people.
Serajuddin pledged to take part in the agitation against the Ram Krishna Mission plan in the interest of the society.
Meanwhile, frustrated students of Bengali High School staged a sit-in protest in front of the school gate.
They demanded immediate cancelation of the Government order to abolish the school.
Different placards that read "Don't disturb the school," "We will not give our exam until the order is revoked" and "Show mercy on us" .
On the other hand, MSF said the federation will extend support to the ongoing agitation by students against the claim by Nagaland Government that Siroy Lily belongs to that State.
