Jessami village chief has alleged that the State Government has denied financial aid to some of the people who were injured in a recent fatal bus accident.
They obviously do not have bank accounts to facilitate doling out government aids.
The Government had demanded bank accounts for all the victims to claim the aid, Jessami village chief Ayete said on Friday.
In the bus accident that occurred on March 24 last, 13 people were killed and 17 others injured.
It happened near Layee bridge in Nagaland's Phek district.
Thirty five people who were on board were part of a wedding party and belonged to Jessami village in Ukhrul district.
The village chief said those victims who have their own bank accounts have already received the financial aid given by the Government, but those without bank accounts are not getting it till date.
He said opening bank accounts by going to Ukhrul headquarters takes time and appealed to the Government to give some more time so that the remaining victims also get the financial assistance.
