UCM observes 15th Foundation Day

The United Committee, Manipur has today observed its 15th Foundation Day at UCM HQs, Lamphel.
Speaking at the occasion, UCM president Elangbam Johnson said UCM was established with the objective to uphold the State's territorial integrity.
Till date, UCM along with the people of the State have been continuing its work to maintain the integrity of the State.
Citing an example, Elangbam Johnson said, "Issues of Dzuko Valley are not limited only within the Mao community.
Any territorial part of the State, when threatened, should be a matter concerning every individual of this State.
Encroaching upon the land of another State is not acceptable and we will fight till the end to safeguard our territorial integrity" .
The programme was also attended by Kh Chingkhei, president, International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA), O Vikramjit, president, UPF, M Midun Maring, vice-president, National Identity Protection Committee (NIPCO), Ph Sakhi Leima, president, Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL), Y Dilip Kumar, president, PANDAM, Kh Somorendro, president, Akom Lup and Yumnam(O) Kamalini Leima, secretary, Kangleipak Lamjing Apunba Meira Lup (Kanglamei) .
