In the first quarter final match of the ongoing 4th Bikram Memorial State Level Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament, Baji 11 downed PYC Sonalika by 91 runs to enter the semi-final.
On winning the toss PYC elected to field first.
This move backfired as the Baji 11 batsmen took advantage of the firm pitch and found the gaps easily on either side of the wicket to pile up a competitive score of 175 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 15 overs.
Set a huge target of 176 runs, the PYC batsmen crumbled and managed to put up a score of only 84 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 15 overs.
Alai of Baji 11 walked away with the man of the match award for his 48 runs off only 17 balls.
In the fourth quarter final match of the tournament, SWA beat YPU by one wicket to enter the semi-final stage.
Winning the toss, YPU elected to bat but were bundled out for 72 runs in 14.2 overs.
SWA faced little problem in overhauling the total as they made 78 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 10.5 overs.
Sunil of SWA was adjudged the man of the match for picking up 3 wickets in 3 overs and for scoring a quick fire 8 runs from 6 balls.
