N Rajningthou Memorial Trophy : YWC finish top of the table, will face PTRC in quarterfinals

YWC Langthabal beat Blue Hawk, Khurai Lamlong by 75 runs at the ongoing 3rd MNCA U-16 Boy's Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy today to end the Group B league round at the top of the table.
YWC had already been promised a berth in the quarterfinals.
Winning the toss Blue Hawk and opting to field first, Blue Hawk bowler Md Atif Shah took 4 wickets in 6 overs and conceded just 22 runs while Soibam Sayonba Singh took 3 wickets in 6 overs and gave away 29 runs.
Other Blue Hawk bowlers Spolar Moirangthem took 2 wickets in 6 overs and gave away 34 runs while skipper Rex Waikhom took 1 wickets in 4.5 overs and conceded 38 runs.
The whole bowling line-up conceded 55 runs in extras.

The YWC batting line-up managed to put up a score of 179 in 28.5 overs before Rex Waikhom took the last wicket of opener Seram Robinson, who had put up an impressive strike rate of 108.86 as he added 86 runs in just 79 balls which included 9 4s and 4 6s .
Other batsmen of YWC Rickymenan Thokchom scored 19 off 43 balls while all other batsmen failed to put up double digit scores.
Eyeing a target of 180, Spolar Moirangthem and Md Atif Shah opened the second innings but Blue Hawk suffered an early setback as Md Atif was run out and had to return to the pavilion without opening his run account.
YWC bowlers continued to upset the Blue Hawk batsmen as one after another fell victim to the relentless bowling attacks.
Coming in to bat at number 3, Manas managed to put up a challenge by adding 40 runs off 64 balls but it fell short of the target and he too was bowled by S Yoihenba Singh.
Blue Hawk batting line-up managed to tally a total of 104 runs for 10 wickets in 23.5 overs which fell short of the target by 75 runs.
YWC bowlers Albert Sorokhaibam (18 runs off 6 overs for 2 wickets), S Yoihenba Singh (12 runs off 1.5 overs for 2 wickets), and one wicket each by Yumnam Athouba, Yumnam Chingkhei Nganba and Sorokhaibam Dailish Singh gave them the victory as they finished at the top of the Group B league table winning all the last 4 matches.
Seram Robinson of YWC won the man of the match award.
