YWC beat Blue Hawk to reach U-16 boys cricket quarters

YWC (Langthabal) wrapped up the league round with a 75 -run win over Blue Hawk and qualified for the quarterfinals of the 3rd MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Memorial Trophy on Thursday.
Following their Thursday's result, the Langthabal boys finished atop the Group B standings with 8 points from four matches.
YWC will be up against PTRC in the quarterfinals on February 13 .
Asked to bat first, YWC were all out for 179 in 28.5 overs as Seram Robinson led from the front smashing 86 from 79 balls.
He hit 9 fours and 4 sixes during his spell.
Rickymenan Thoithoiba contributed 19 runs.
Md Asif Shah was the chief destroyer for Blue Hawk's bowlers.
He snapped four wickets as Soibam Sayonba claimed three, Spolar Moirangthem scalped two and Rex Waikhom took one.
In their run chase, Blue Hawk wilted under pressure and their chase ended in 23.5 overs, scoring 104.Manas, who made 40, was the only notable run-getter for Blue Hawk.
In their triumph, Albert and Soirokhaibam Yoihenba claimed two wickets each, with Yumnatn Athouba, Yumnam Chingkheinganba and Sorokhaibam Dailish chipping in with a wicket apiece.
Other quarterfinalists are YUCC, PCC, YPHU, AKSDO, RCA and ESU.
