LS Trophy: Ginlal helps Symropia win as YOSC hold SU

Substitute Ginlal's goal gave the Manipur State League team Symropia Football Club a perfect state to the ongoing Len and Sang Trophy 2022 at Kangpokpi as the Churachandpur side defeated Manipur Terrier Imphal 2-1, while Usham Robertson Singh's multiple brilliant saves helped Youth Organization Sporting Club (YOSC) Khurai hold MSL league Sagolband United to a goalless draw.
The first half of the group C encounter between MSL team Symropia and Manipur Terrier Imphal ended in a goalless draw despite both teams struggling to find an opener.
However, Churachandpur's side had a brilliant comeback in the second half to break the deadlock after Lalremsiem found the opener in the 65th minute.
But, the Army team unleashed strong pressure on the Churachandpur side to find an early equalizer through Th.Premchand Singh's 71st-minute goal, who has now seven goals in his boot in the tournament.
The MSL team Symropia's official made a perfect change after Manipur Terrier s equalizer and sent in substitute Ginlal who found the winning goal in the 75th minute to help the Churachandpur side a narrow 2-1 win over the army team.
Despite the heated game, AMFA referee Ajit Singh was seen conducting the match coolly as the central referee but he was compelled to issue four cautions, two each from both teams, Helsaunpao (56'), Paumaun (84') of Symropia, Mungreichan (44), Ibotomba (61') of Manipur Terrier for their unsporting behavior.
The group D encounter between the AMFA Cup team Youth Organization Sporting Club (YOSC) Khurai and the MSL League team, Sagolband United, serenely conducted by an experienced AMFA referee M Inao Singh, ended in a goalless draw.
YOSC Khurai's custodian Usham Robertson Singh's multiple brilliant saves helped the AMFA Cup team hold the MSL team to a goalless draw.
The MSL team Sagolband United had multiple chances through its playmaker, Subhash, a former ISL player, but were denied by the strong defensive line and the brilliant custodian of YOSC Khurai, Usham Robertson Singh.
Similarly, YOSC Khurai also got a few chances to score but could not convert them.
