Scholarship distributed, coaching centre opened

A free coaching centre jointly established by Komol and Kumari Foundation, Manipur and VYDO Club, Keibul Lamjao has been opened at Keibul Mayai Leikai alongside a felicitation programme of meritorious students and distribution of K and K Scholarship to the students of Keibul Circle in Bishnupur district on Wednesday.
The programme was attended by Foundation chairman Uttamkumar Ningthoujam, former inspector of schools N Manichandra, Keibul Atom Yaima Junior High School headmaster T Tomba, retired headmaster S Ibotombi and Keibul Primary School headmaster H Chaoba as the presidium members.
Speaking at the programme, Uttamkumar informed that the scholarship has been floated especially for the students of Keibul circle with an aim to provide career counselling and guidance so as to make their future brighter.
Stating that he had earlier worked with several companies both in India and abroad, Uttamkumar maintained that as hard work and judicious use of time are decisive in deciding if one achieves life goal, students need to work hard to taste success in life.
He also assured the students that career counselling and guidance will be made available anytime.
As part of the programme, K and K scholarship was presented to 35 meritorious students of Keibul Lamjao Circle, who secured first division marks in the class 10 and 12 examinations.
Meanwhile, the coaching centre will impart lesson to class 9 and 10 students under Thanga assembly constituency.
