Nagaland Wild Hogs edge past Arunachal Pradesh Tigers 2-1
Manipur Sangais extended their winning run to four with a 7-0 thrashing of Tripura Pythons in the ongoing 1st North East Women's Football League Tournament as Nagaland Wild Hogs edged past Arunachal Pradesh Tigers 2-1 .
In the 17th match of the tournament being organised by the All Manipur Football Association under the sponsorship of Anantpura Sports Events Pvt Ltd, Nagaland side who suffered a 1-4 loss in the hands of Sikkim Pandas had a dominating start and took a 2-0 first half lead.
It was Nirmala who found the breakthrough goal early in the 5th minute before M Paundo doubled the lead in the 6th minute.

The Nagaland side managed to defend their lead well but Arunachal Pradesh Tigers managed a consolation goal when Yumlam Lali converted a penalty in the 51st minute.
Arunachal Pradesh tigers, who were on a roll with three of three previous wins, had some late chances but Nagaland side defenders did well to tackle all the moves to break the winning streak and register their second win in four matches.
Meanwhile, hosts Manipur Sangais who cruised to a 10-0 win over Assam Rhinos in the previous match earned a comfortable 7-0 win over Tripura Pythons today thanks to doubles from Y Kiranbala and A Roja.
It is the fourth win for the Manipur side in as many as five matches.
Manipur Sangais came out all guns blazing from the start and were 1-0 up after 9 minutes when Y Kiranbala netted the opener.
I Prameshwori then converted a fine chance to double the lead in the 15th minute before S Rinaroy made it 3-0 with a clinical finish in the 28th minute.
Tripura Pythons who are yet to register a win in the tournament remained clueless State women kept on pressing hard despite the comfortable lead and in the 31st minute, Y Kiranbala completed her double before A Roja slammed home her first in the second minute of the first half additional time to make it 5-0 .
Manipur Sangais rested back for a major portion of the second half until A Roja came up with her second after 77th minute and Y Priyanka banged in the final nail to the coffin during the stoppage time (80+1') .
