Ranji Trophy, Third Match Day 3 : Manipur bowled out for 324 in first innings as Sikkim take 349 runs lead

Manipur were bowled out for 324 runs in the first innings on Day 3 of the 3rd plate group encounter of the ongoing Ranji Trophy despite Kangabam Priyojit Singh half century at Jadavpur University Campus 2nd Ground, Kolkata.
Manipur resumed the day on 238 for 7 (64 over) with Kangabam Priyojit (40 not out) and Bimol Singh (6 not) on the crease.
The duo had a sensible batting and stitched together fifty runs and took Manipur's tally past the 300 runs mark before Kangabam Priyojit was trapped lbw by Sumit Singh on 79 (in 134 balls) in the 89th over.
Bimol was then taken down by Palzor Tamang on 33 the next over and Sikkim folded Manipur's innings in the 93rd over with Sumit Singh removing Bishworjit Kongthoujam on 7 to complete his three wicket haul for 55 runs in 18 overs which contained 3 maidens.
L Kishan Singha was unbeaten on 10 .
It may be noted that Tarun Sharma had fetched four crucial wickets yesterday including Rex Rajkumar (62) to finish with the best bowling figures of 4/58 in 17 overs while Ankur Malik had scalped twice for 64 runs in his spell of 16 overs which also contained a maiden over.
As Manipur trailed behind by 138 runs, Sikkim started their second innings with style and added 211 runs for 2 wickets to take a 349 runs lead at stumps on Day 3 courtesy a 110-ball 104 by Codanda Ajit Karthik today.
Raj Kumar Rex got the breakthrough wicket removing Anwesh Sharma on 25 as Sikkim were three runs away from second innings 100 run mark in 25.2 overs but his partner Codanda carried forward the offensive before being bowled out by L Kishan Singh on 104 in the 48th over (47.3) .
Nilesh Lamichaney (50) then built a strong partnership with star batter of Sikkim in the first innings, Liyan Khan (20) to close out the Day for Sikkim on 211 for 2 in 57 overs.
