The Indian National Congress (INC) candidate of Wangjing Tentha Assembly Constituency, Moirangthem Hemanta has alleged that the BJP candidate of the constituency, Paonam Brojen has violated the voting rights of the residents of polling station no 9 till 17 of the constituency.
He raised the above allegations while addressing media persons during a press meet held at his residence at Tentha Khongbal today evening.
He further alleged that Paonam Brojen had not allowed any INC agents in the aforementioned polling stations and the Congress supporters were not allowed to cast their votes as well.
Stating that INC agents of polling stations number 9 to 17 of Wangjing were intimidated by the BJP supporters yesterday night even going to the extent of vandalising their houses, he has filed a complaint to the Election Commission of India (ECI) demanding for re-poll in the said polling stations.

He also expressed dismay over the act of Paonam Brojen who is making up false stories to mislead the public that BJP agents are not allowed in Tentha thereby requesting for re-poll.
He went on to state that the voting was carried out peacefully under strict security at Tentha.
Extending gratitude to the people of the constituency for their continued support, M Hemanta expressed firm belief that he will emerge victorious though BJP has resorted to all possible measures to deter him through unfair means.
Denouncing the alleged dictatorship of the BJP and its supporters, he maintained that such acts have resulted in widespread poll related violence in the State which is really unfortunate.
