JAC constituted against the rape and murder of Tilak Poudel of Kanglatongbi has expressed concern over not providing assistance to a man who was injured in police firing at the height of an agitation launched after the incident.
Bhim Kumar Karki s/o Sur Bahadur Karki of Vijaynagar, Kanglatongbi was seriously injured in police firing during the public agitation against the rape of minor girl from a minority community (Gorkha) April 18,2014 at Kanglatongbi, said a press release.
Bhim Kumar is still in Langol Hospital struggling for his life.
The JAC and the family members have already expensed around Rs 4,00,000 for in his treatment.
Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh had given assurance two months back to provide financial assistance to the injured person.
However, no such assistance has been given.
"We hope timely and proper support from the Government, so that all problems would be solved amicably", added the press release.
