LDA seeks local cooperation

Imphal, January 18 2010:
The Loktak Development Authority (LDA), in a press release issued by its Project Director, has appealed to the fisher folks to lift up their traps and nets so as not to impede and cause hindrances to the ongoing cleaning up operation of floating and planted phumdis in the lake.
The cleaning up operation being undertaken by the K-Pro Infra Works Pvt Ltd was inaugurated by the Chief Minister, O Ibobi Singh on January 6 .
The LDA sought the cooperation of the communities settled in and around the lake in all the works being taken up to keep this Lake, the pride of Manipur clean and beautiful.
