Imphal, June 28, 2010:
Refuting the allegations levelled against Manipur police by Senapati District Motor Vehicles Owner's Association that they were involved in the attack on two Imphal-Mao passenger buses on June 21, Imphal West Senior SP L Kailun has said that the allegation is unfounded.
In a statement, the SSP that said the district police was not in anyway involved in the attack as alleged.
He said, in fact, it was the district police who rushed in and ensured safety of the buses and passengers.
The SSP directed the Imphal-Mao buses to park at their assigned parking lot.
