Assam Rifles distributes Solar Lamp

Aina Battalion of Churachandpur Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) installed 15 solar electricity system as a part of Border Area Development Programme in Schools, Churches and Community halls of Khajang, Phaithong, Aibulon, Parkhong and Sinjol villages on 21st and 23rd September 2019 to alleviate their problems of living in darkness due to non available of regular electricity supply.
Assam Rifles undertook the onerous responsibility for installation of solar electricity system in Schools, Churches and Community halls of villages Khajang, Phaithong, Aibulon, Parkhong and Sinjol where regular electricity supply is not available due to remoteness of the area as well as heavy rainfall and landslides.
The initiative taken by the Aina Battalion has been highly appreciated by the villagers and the school children and it reflects the genuine efforts of the Assam Rifles, "True Friends of North East", to provide better quality of life to locals enabling them to continue with their work and children to study even after daylight hours.
The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Aina Battalion Assam Rifles for looking after the needs of villagers and providing them electricity under Border Area Development Programme 2018 - 19 .
The initiative will go a long way in strengthening the bonhomie between the Assam Rifles and local populace.
