Imphal, September 24 2019:
As per report in yesterday's edition of the The Economic Times, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that electric cars will be in use within the next two years and this is a welcome statement in that India, like other countries and in conformity with the COP21 Paris Agreement, has decided to switch over to electric cars.
As per the Union Minister, ethanol amethanol and bio CNG will be the sources.
Ethanol is a chemical compound which is simple alcohol which boiling point is 78.37 C while methanol is methyl alcohol or wood alcohol produced from carbon monoxide and hydrogen.
China perhaps is leading the way in that, 15 percent of methanol is used and during 2000 - 2015, there has been an increase of 25 percent annually.
In UK, electric cars are run by solar energy.
It's about time that we turn to alternate and renewable energy, not only for cars but in other everyday usage.
