AIMS to monitor gas agencies

Apunba Ireipaki Maheiroi Singpanglup (AIMS) has announced that it will start monitoring the gas agencies in the State to check cylinders which have expired, are leaking or do not reach the correct weight.
Speaking to media persons at AIMS office at Kwakeithel bazar today, its vice president Saikhom Premchand said that AIMS has been getting many complaints for the people concerning sale of expired or leaking cylinders.
This is cheating the customers and also poses great danger to the lives of the people, he alleged adding that AIMS will start monitoring the gas agencies in the State effective immediately.
Explaining that giving expired cylinders to the people is the main reason for gas leak, Premchand appealed to the people to check the weight of the cylinders as well.
Informing that AIMS will conduct inspection from one gas agency to another, the vice president appealed to the authorities and the Minister concerned to look into the matter at the earliest as well.
