Finish road job before rainy season: SSWC

While hailing the chief engineer and contractor concerned for taking up the construction of the 4 km long road stretch from Sagang-Sugnu Road to Wangoo Ahallup Makha Taba under PMGSY work programme of 2017-18 which has now reached up to Wangoo Sandangkhong Awang, Sandangkhong Social Welfare Club (SSWC) has urged the work agencies to finish the work before the commencement of rainy season.
The Club especially demanded construction of retaining wall near the house of one Takhellambam Rajen at Sandangkhong Awang Leikai which is beside the river bank and is susceptible to erosion.
The retaining wall of should be constructed before the onset of rainy season and water is released from Ithai Barrage Dam, the Club appealed, while urging the contractor and department concerned to begin the construction as soon
as possible.
