NSP celebrates 39th foundation day online

Imphal, June 02 2021:
Nepali Sahitya Parishad (NSP), Manipur celebrated its 39th Foundation Day on Wednesday through the online mode.
According to a release, NSP secretary Deepak Pantha lighted candles and welcomed everyone at the start of the programme which was presided over by NSP president Bhawani Adhikari while NSP advisor Dr Tankanath Khatiwada and Tripura Central University VC Dr Ganga Prasad Prasain were the main speakers of the event.
Renowned Nepali writer Ramesh Luitel of Kathmandu also recited his poems during the programme, which was also attended by 40 NSP members as well as Nepali poets of Manipur working in different parts of the country and abroad.
As a part of the celebration, Dr Tankanath Kha- tiwoda spoke on 'value of language and literature'.
Basanti Devi Poudel and Sita Devi Chhetry also attended as observers of the programme, the release informed while adding that NSP assistant secretary Homnath Chapagain delivered the vote of thanks.
