Rs 3 crore for development of Sagolband Thangapat sanctioned

Rs 3 crore for maintenance and development of Sagolband Thangapat and Sagolband Bijoy Govinda tourism site has been included in the state budget.
MLA Rk Imo said this today while attending the inauguration of newly constructed Rk Sanamacha Community Hall and public toilet at Sagolband Thangapat.
The programme was attended by Rk Jiten, corporator, IMC Ward number 7; K Rajo, director, Health Department and senior citizens of the area including Rk Sanayaima and Rk Rashmani as presidium members.
Speaking at the event, MLA Rk Imo said in recent years, he has been able to take up various developmental work in the AC as a representative of the people.
95% of the roads in the constituency have been metalled and the remaining 5% will also be completely metalled very soon, he added.
Rk Imo further added that with the aim to provide drinking water to every household, pipe laying work has been completed, the historically important Sagolband Bijoy Govindajee site has been developed into a tourist site and the beautification work for the site of 'Heikru Hidongba', Sagolband Thangapat will also start soon and there is also a plan to set up a Urban Health Centre in the constituency.
