Man helps orphan stay in school

An orphan boy from Hengbung village in Kangpokpi district could continue his studies after the ISTV Kuki Channel producer appeared to him in the form of an angel with an unconditional love towards humanity.
Uplifting the spirit of humanity, ISTV Kuki Channel Producer, Paoneo Haokip lent out helping hands to an orphan boy who was on the verge of dropping school owing to financial shortage.
The poor boy from Hengbung village in Kangpokpi district was studying in Class X at Agape English School Kangpokpi, an educational institution in Kangpokpi DHQs especially for underprivileged children and orphans.
Paoneo Haokip came to know about the condition of the boy in social media while he was in Mumbai embarking on a Director course in film making and promised to help him purely on humanitarian grounds.

The boy lived with his only grandmother ever since her parents had left him alone for their heavenly abode.
Since then, the boy's grandmother looked after him and his studies shouldering all hardships and grievances.
Despite all efforts on the part of his grandmother, he almost quit his studies owing to financial shortage for his admissions fees, tuition fees, books and uniforms.
It was when their grievances were highlighted in some social media, Paoneo Haokip came forward to help the poor boy and his grandmother.
The ISTV Kuki Channel producer, who had recently completed the director course and also a recipient of an Excellent Award in the course visited the boy at his residence at Hengbung village yesterday along with few prominent Kuki actors and actress including Jameskai Khongsai and Jessica Chongloi apart from Hekhup Kipgen, Principal, Agape English School Kangpokpi, Hesei Khongsai, social worker and Romeo Hansong, a youtuber from Kangpokpi.
Paoneo Haokip paid the admission fees and tuition fees for the current academic session apart from providing financial help to the boy's grandmother.
He also paid for his private tuition fees at home for one year since he [the boy] needs to prepare well for the tough HSLC examination while providing for his bus fare from Hengbung to Kangpokpi for one month and also assured to look after it[the bus fare] for the whole year.
It is purely an intention to enliven the spirit of promoting humanity among the people and to let the world know that such children are also part of the society and they are not ignored especially of their rights to education, asserted Paoneo.
Paoneo Haokip also exhorted the people not to hesitate in helping the poor and underprivileged people in the society while drawing the attention of the authority concerned to initiate all necessary measures to help the poor boy continue his studies.
The Visibly emotional grandmother of the boy thanked the ISTV Kuki Channel team, especially the producer Paoneo Haokip, for their assistance and concern for the wellbeing and education of her grandson.
The boy's grandmother also wrapped a traditional shawl 'Saipikhup' to Paoneo Haokip as a mark of gratitude and appreciation for the exemplary humanitarian service.
It may be mentiond that ISTV Kuki Channel is the most viewed and subscribed channel among the Kuki community in the State.
