Shija performs key-hole surgery on Mary Kom

Imphal, September 10 2013:
A team of Shija doctors led by Dr Jugindra S, Medical Superintendent performed a keyhole surgery on Indian boxing icon cum pride of Manipur and bronze medallist at London Olympics-2012, MC Mary Kom today.
Mary underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy (removal of gall bladder through key hole surgery) at Shija Hospitals, HealthCity, Langol today.
She attended the surgery OPD yesterday with complaints of pain epigastrium.
Her ultrasound report revealed that she was suffering from cholelithiasis (stones inside the gall bladder), a statement issued by Shija Hospital said.
The laparoscopic surgery was performed by a team of doctors led by Dr Jugindra S, Medical Superintendent cum Consultant General & Laparoscopic Surgeon cum President, Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI), Eastern Zone.
Shija congratulates: Shija Hospitals, HealthCity, Langol congratulates Dr T Kennedy, MD (Anaesthesiology) on becoming a Fellow of Indian Diploma in Critical Care Medicine (IDCCM) under Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM).
He is the first doctor from the state to have won this Fellowship.
Post graduates in Medicine, Anaesthesia and Pulmonology are eligible to undergo this fellowship course.

He is currently working at Shija Hospitals as a Consultant Anaesthetist in the department of Anaesthesiology & Critical Care.
