Imphal, September 10 2013:
Thadou Students' Association (TSA), Imphal has raised strong objection to inviting United Naga Council (UNC) for the Kuki Black Day observation to be held at Kangpokpi, Sadar Hills by the Observation Committee.
Ralph Haokip, president of TSA-Imphal said that how it comes in the mind of the leaders to formally invite such organisation which was mainly responsible in serving the 'quit notice' to the Kukis resulting in the brutal murder of hundreds of innocent Kuki villagers.
The Association then requested the concerned to abstain from such unwanted things which could hurt the sentiments of the general populace.
"Moreover, the Organising Committee of the Kuki Bkack Day obserrvation could only invite the UNC after the latter makes a formal apology to the Kukis," the TSA asserted, adding, "It is not acceptable for all the Kukis to observe Black Day with those people who had spearheaded the genocide against us" .
The TSA then pointed out that the contributions of the Kuki people in safeguarding the territorial boundary of Manipur is a commendable one.
