Pherzawl road mishap claims 3

Pherzawl, November 25 2022:
A road mishap at Sipuikawn village in Pherzawl district has claimed the lives of 3 persons and injured 11 others at midnight of Wednesday.
Though the exact nature of the mishap is not known yet, it is reported that they were all travelling in a pickup truck that was driven by one Michael of Lungthulien.
The three including a minor killed due to the accident have been identified as Ridawl of Tipaimukh, Lalroman (48), s/o Lienvung Buongpui of Lungthulien village and Zoramsiem (12), s/o Sabath of Tipaimukh village.
Ridawl of Tipaimukh was killed instantly on the spot in the accident while 13 others suffered varying degrees of injuries.
The injured were first rushed to the Parbung Primary Health Centre, about 30 kilometers from the accident site at around 2 am yesterday (Thursday).
After receiving treatment at Parbung PHC, 6 of them under critical conditions were then referred to Churachandpur District Hospital yesterday evening.
When the 6 persons were being transported to Churachandpur Hospital, two of them, Lalroman and Zoramsiem succumbed on the way at Leijangphai village, on Tipaimukh Road last night.
With the two deceased, they reached Churachandpur District Hospital early today.
The four injured persons were immediately admitted at the District Hospital on their arrival while the bodies of the two, who died on the road were handed over to the next of kin later in the day.
