Meeyamgi Numit for Pherzawl district held

Pherzawl district administration organised the 5th District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit on Friday at Senvon villagec community hall.
Tipaimukh SDOI Dinesh Kumar Singh and DLOs led by Pherzawl deputy commissioner Haulianlal Guite have been carrying forward the outreach programme of the state government towards initiation of citizen-centric governance in every part of the region.
The deputy commissioner, who personally perused grievances placed by the public, said primary objective of the event is to bring about efficiency for better co ordination and speedy redressal of public grievances.
He assured that the district administration is making the best effort to resolve all grievances at the earliest.
The DC distributed PHH ration cards, seeds and sprayers as well as free text books and school uniforms to select beneficiaries.
He also inaugurated School Nutrition Garden of Senvon Government High School.
Proposals for setting up of a bank at Pherzawl town were among the issued raised by the village leaders to the DC.
Public Welfare Services including awareness through PPT presentation on NTF' as an alternative source of income and display of VDVK products by Forest departments; awareness campaign on domestic violence by One Stop Centre; awareness programme on N1PUN BHARAT & Ill Effects of Drug Abuse to school going children by ZEO; identification of eligible widows for Widow Pension Scheme by DSWO; PMMVY schemes for eligible lactating mothers by DPO, ICDS; Aadhaar enrolment and issuance of Domicile/Tribe/Income by the SDO; and introduction of Prepaid Meter Connection in Senvon village were the other highlights of the day's event.
Besides providing healthcare related services including observance of different programmes namely World Diabetes Day, World Suicide Prevention Day, National Iodine Deficiency & Ill Effects of Drug Abuse among Adolescents & Youth, the CMO team also administered Covid vaccinations on the spot.
Fifteen stalls of different departments were opened to meet the demand of the public.
Meanwhile, different awareness campaign and Swachhta Run organised under Pherzawl PHED division are underway in different villages since November 23 .
