Governor Ganesan visits Sangai Ethnic Park

Governor La Ganesan visited the main venue of the ongoing Manipur Sangai Festival - the Sangai Ethnic Park at Moirang Khunou in Bishnupur district on Friday.
The Governor visited all the ethnic huts in the park and interacted with people of different ethnic communities.
While chatting with the people, La Ganesan said that although we have different religions, cultures, traditions and customs, we are all one.
"This ethnic park is indeed a nice place where we can see almost all the traditions and customs of different communities living in the state.
Through this festival we can enjoy unity in diversity and oneness amqngst ourselves," he added.
After the interaction, the Governor talked to newspersons, stating the arrangement put in place at the park is immense and people can see the beautiful culture and traditions of different communities in the state.
He said that visiting the ethnic park especially the ethnic huts will help to understand the beautiful cultures of different tribes and communities in the state.
He also lauded the efforts made by the chief minister and his council of ministers to make the Manipur Sangai Festival - a grand success.
On his arrival at the park, the Governor was accorded a warm welcome by Works minister Govindas Konthoujam, Water Resources minister Awangbow Newmai; MLAs T Robindro, K Leishiyo and Chinlunthang; and Commissioner (Tourism) PK Jha.
