Imphal, October 08 2016:
Greeting the people on the 40th raising day of the Red Army of the proscribed PREPAK (Pro), chairman of the outfit Paliba M has today asserted that India does not believe in democratic movement, which is best exemplified by Kashmir and the nearly 16 years of fast undertaken by Irom Sharmila.
In a statement issued to the press today, the outfit said that instead of respecting the democratic movement launched by the people of Kashmir, India has been claiming that this is the handiwork of Pakistan.
Under the claim that the movement in Kashmir is being instigated by Pakistan, India has been systematically eliminating the people of Kashmir and subjecting them to excesses and physical tortures while many women have been raped and molested , claimed the outfit.
All UN resolutions with regard to Kashmir have been sidelined, said the outfit and added that India is conspiring to expel the UN Monitoring Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP).
Instead of looking into its own internal affairs, India has been interfering at Balochistan and trumpeting to the world that Pakistan has been violating human rights there, said the outfit and asserted that it is India which does not believe in democratic movement, best exemplified by Kashmir and Irom Sharmila.
Since India does not believe in democratic movement and principles, PREPAK (Pro) has been waging an armed movement for the last 40 years, said the statement.
The sharp divide along community line is due to the machinations of India, alleged the outfit and added that Kangleipak was not created by some on the basis of homeland but has been there for two thousand years due to the sacrifices of the ancestors.
It is the machinations of some who have been wedded to the agenda of India who are today raising the demand of homeland.
This is a fact which everyone should be aware of and everyone should today join hands to defeat the homeland agenda of some.
It is the homeland agenda hatched by some self centric people which is responsible for the sharp divide along community line, said the outfit and recalled the genocide unleashed among communities.
Today the observance of Black Days can be traced to these agendum, said the statement and added that during those days of genocide, the Indian forces and UN forces did nothing to stop the killings.
If these incidents recur it will be the loss of the land and the people and not India, pointed out the outfit.
Much before India came into being, Kangleipak (Manipur) existed as a democracy after abolishing absolute monarchy. Manipur was among the first to hold democratic elections and put in place a Constitutional monarchy, claimed the outfit.
Instead of acknowledging this truth, India has been occupying Manipur for over 60 years now, claimed the statement and added that in these years, all roads to development have been hijacked by India.
A policy has been developed such that today Manipur cannot progress financially, educationally and in all other aspects, said the statement and added that another agenda is to destroy the coming generation by generating a drug war.
The drug war has also affected not only the WESEA region, but also other parts of the country such as Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Delhi etc, claimed the outfit.
The many plans hatched by India to destroy the WESEA people and region have backfired and affected mainland India, said the outfit and added that if India does not want to be destroyed it should grant sovereignty to Kangleipak.
Other than the drug war, India has also unleashed a population war to overwhelm the smaller communities, said the outfit and asked the people to ponder on the future if they continue to associate with India.
It is to save the indigenous people that different movements have been launched, reasoned the outfit.
The outfit also called for the unity of the people and declared that it is ready to go all the way to promote unity under the umbrella of CorCom in the region and WESEA.
