Centre asked to pass BNEGA

Demanding the NDA government to pass the Bhagat Singh National Employment Guarantee Act (BNEGA), a private member resolution moved in the Rajya Sabha by CPI MP Binoy Viswam, All India Youth Federation (AIYF) national president Sukhjinder Mahesari said that BNEGA will provide livelihood support to unemployed persons with monthly unemployment allowance.
Addressing a press meet at the office premises of AIYF state council here on Wednesday, Mahesari said that the Act, if enacted, will provide abolish contract system and provide permanent employment to all.
In case of unemployment, the Act ensures monthly unemployment allowance of different level as per the skills of the unemployed person, the national president said and informed that AIYF is planning a mass rally to raise the demand in the national capital on September 21 and 22.AIYF state president Moirangthem Somorjit also appealed to the people of the state to support the movement.
