Ukhrul, October 19 2021: Ukhrul district on Tuesday reported 11 fresh Covid-19 positive cases, taking the tally of its current positive cases to 67 .

According to a DSO source, the 11 new cases were detected from among 96 samples tested during screening at Ukhrul District Hospital and contact tracing in different parts of the district.

With this, the district's total cumulative positive cases now stand at 1,819 .

Meanwhile, two patients were discharged from the isolation ward of the hospital on Tuesday, the source said.

Of the active cases, 22 patients are being lodged at the isolation ward of the hospital and 34 at the Transit Camp, while no patient is currently lodged at TL Woodland Covid Hospital.

The district has recorded 52 deaths due to the viral disease in the second wave and has referred 26 cases out of the district so far.
