Felicitation of netball players held

Imphal, January 31 2023: Tamenglong District Netball Association along with Tamenglong District Volleyball Association on Monday felicitated Tamenglong players who have been awarded by Manipur Olympic Games for their feat in various sports disciplines.

A total of four Manipur Olympic Association officials, seven netball officials, and seven each male and female netball players were felicitated in the event held at R Tale Women Market in Tamei under the sponsorship of social worker Wilubou Newmai.

It was attended by Manipur Olympic Association secretary Sunil Elangbam as chief guest, Tamei SBI Branch bank manager N Siamlianthang as special guest and presided over by Tamei Authority Council chairman Adin Abonmai.

In his speech, Sunil advised the people of state irrespective of hills and valley to follow their passion in sports and pursue it with full dedication, to bring laurels from various national and international levels.

As part of the event, a friendly volleyball match was also played at Tamei helipad.
