ABHM to campaign for deleting criminal tag on Netaji

Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha (ABHM) will be launching a signature campaign for Manipur state at INA complex Moirang on Wednesday against the 'War Criminal' tag given to freedom fighter Netaji Subashchandra Bose by Commonwealth of Nations, United Nations and other international organisations.
Announcing this in a press meet at Manipur Press Club, here, on Tuesday, ABHM Assam & North East president Biswadeep Gupta said that the campaign has already been launched in Assam and other north eastern states on January 23.For Manipur, the campaign will be launched at INA complex, Moirang on Wednesday, he informed and appealed to the people of the state to take participate in this campaign.
The signatures collected during the campaign, which will be carried out for a year, would be submitted to the central government and the United Nations, he said, adding that the campaign aims to collect over 2 lakh signatures.
Biswadeep then said that ABHM, which was established in 1915, was recognised as a political party by the Election Commission of India in 1933 and had contested several elections.
After a brief period of dormancy, the party was revitalised under the leadership of the national president, Rajashree Chaudhuri and efforts are being made to expand the party across the country.
He then urged the people of the northeast states to support the party which is trying to branch out in the region with a commitment to bring about socio-economic development.
