Veteran T-20: Big wins for YPHU, CYCLONE

YPHU and CYCLONE enjoyed comprehensive wins in the Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament on Tuesday.
YPHU started the day with a 7-wicket thrashing of CHAMP at Luker Ground.
CHAMP posted 102 for 9 after opting to bat first with double-digit runs from Robinson (24), Lalboy (24) and Surjit (14).In reply, YPHU took 15.3 overs to achieve the target courtesy of contributions from A Ryder (27 not out), Daneshwor (20), Kenny (19), Hemanta (18) and Boiton (5 not out) .
The winning team lost three wickets in the chase.
For CHAMP, Barjit, Sanjoy and Lalboy took one wickets each.
Earlier, Bedomoka emerged as the chief destroyer for YPHU with a four-wicket haul as Pyarlal snapped two wickets, and Ponil and Gyanaranjan bagged one each.
The day's second match saw CYCLONE notch up a dominant 6-wicket win over YCC.
CYCLONE restricted YCC to 86/9 and then they knocked off the runs in 14.3 overs with the help of Shashi Kumar (29 not out), Rohindro (16 not out), Bikram (13), Shyamsundar (9), Lamnganba (7) and Robindro (2) .
Two wickets of the winning side fell to Santikumar and one to Rajesh.
Earlier, Lamnganba was the pick of YCC's bowlers.
He scalped four wickets.
On Wednesday, NAPSA will take on KCC and MODEL Club face LCCC.
