Churachandpur, January 31 2023: A one-day awareness programme on Forest Rights Act (FRA), 2006 was organised by Manipur State Commission for Scheduled Tribe (MSCST), ADC Bhawan, Chingmeirong St Bethany Christian College, here, on Tuesday.

The programme was attended by Kangvai & Henglep SDO Mangte Jonathan Kom as chief guest, while retired IFS Khamsuanmung Tombing, ADC Churachandpur ex-chairman Langkhanpau Guite and former ADC member Mangchinkhup Acts were present as resource persons.

Various tribe and Kuki Inpi leaders participated in the event.

During the seminar, resource persons explained to the participants about the possible consequences of lack of requisite knowledge regarding rights and duties of forest dwellers.
