Imphal, February 07 2022:
Chief Minister N Biren Singh has stated that a certain group of people from Sagolband making a fuss after BJP released its candidates list is nonsensical as they haven't done anything to save the party during its difficult times.
Addressing a flag hoisting ceremony of BJP Sagolband AC candidate RK Imo at Sagolband Bijoy Govinda today, the Chief Minister continued that these same group of people also supported the adversary of BJP led Government in Manipur, let alone support them.
Saying that RK Imo, however, played an instrumental role in saving the incumbent State Government which is about to complete its term, N Biren continued that everyday was a challenge to him since becoming a Chief Minister due to anti incumbency conspiracy hatched by many.

Further stating that he is a righteous man and knows all the conspiracies hatched against him, N Biren maintained that he also acknowledges the contributions of all in saving the State Government.
RK Imo and Okram Henry played crucial roles in saving the Government during its dark phases and the party leaders acknowledged their contribution, he said and added that it is contradictory for the group of people who conspired to unseat the Government to create a fuss out of ticket issues.
"It is natural for the MLAs who sacrifice even their seats to get the party's ticket," he said and added that the BJP wouldn't have been popular among the candidates without the contribution of these leaders.
N Biren also took a jibe at the National People's Party (NPP) .
The Chief Minister said that he was amused to learn about the impractical assurances given by the NPP president Conrad K Sangma to the people of Manipur.
"It is also astounding that certain candidates opted to contest the election on NPP's ticket, '' he maintained.
Saying that the Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) which is meant only for tribals and scheduled land was implemented in Manipur after convincing the party leaders, he appealed to all candidates to focus on saving the State and her people.
The Chief Minister further stated that he has been carrying out election campaigns in many Assembly Constituencies.
Urging the people to humble those politicians who think they can buy votes and help instal a Government exclusive of the BJP in Manipur, N Biren maintained that all the 29 sitting MLAs will win the election without an iota of doubt which means party is short of only 11 seats to achieve absolute majority.
Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba also attended the programme.
