Imphal, June 04 2023:
Taking serious note of the leakage of identities of Central security force officers who are Meeteis on social media, the Coordinating Committee on Manipur Integrity (COCOMI) has submitted a memorandum to the Government and authorities concerned to find out and book whoever uploaded the details.
Speaking to media persons after inspecting the relief camps set up at the adjacent areas of Dolaithabi and Pukhao today, assistant coordinator of COCOMI Joychandra Konthoujam claimed that supporters of Kuki militant groups are constantly spreading false narratives about the violence in Manipur to depict the Meeteis in the wrong light.
Claiming that these supporters of Kuki militants uploaded the particulars of Meetei officers in the Central security force who are posted in Manipur to play the victim card, he asked whether the Kuki militants launching a widespread attack on Meitei villages is a sign of Assam Rifles and Central paramilitary forces taking the side of Meeteis.
He then urged all concerned to arrest whoever leaked the details of the Meetei officers of Central security forces on social media.
People can no longer trust the assurance given by Union Home Minister Amit Shah as Kuki militants continue their ruthless attack on Meeteis, Joychandra maintained.
