Situation in Manipur by and large remains under control, says Kuldiep Singh

Security Advisor to Government of Manipur, Kuldiep Singh has said that the situation of the State is by and large under control.
In a press release, the Security Advisor quoted the tweet of Union Home Minister Amit Shah's appeal to lift the blockades at National Highway 2 and expressed hope that people will surely take into account the appeal and lift the blockade at the earliest.
Mention may be made that the Committee on Tribals Unity Sadar Hills, Kangpokpi district has announced to lift the blockade for 7 days (for limited hours) in response to the Union Home Minister's visit to the district and his appeal to open the highway to ensure free flow of food, medicines, fuels and other necessary items.
He further maintained that curfew relaxation has been made for 12 hours in the valley districts and 10 to 7 hours in neighbouring hill districts.
He also said that 23 more arms were recovered in the last 24 hours.
With these, a total of 202 arms, 252 ammunition and 92 bombs of all kinds have been recovered after the visit of the Union HM, he said.
The total number of arms thus recovered till date is 789 and ammunition recovered is 10648, he continued.
