The 15th death anniversary of Yen drembam Ibohanbi Meetei, who was the founder of Eternal Spring English School, was observed in the campus of the school located at Sekta in Imphal East district today.
Taking out a mass procession by the students of various schools as well as the public and offering of floral tributes at the memorial of Ibohanbi located within his homestead at Sekta were the main features of the observance.
The mass procession was flagged off from the school.
Students of other schools and public of Sekta, Pungdongbam, Lamlai, etc also participated in the procession which concluded at the memorial site of the departed leader.
There the processionists paid floral tributes to Ibohanbi.

Later, a function was held at Eternal Spring English School with advisor of the school's governing body H Yaiskul Meetei as chief guest, president of the governing body M Samungou as functional president and principal P Maichael as guest of honour.
All those who spoke at the occasion recalled the activities of Ibohanbi and described him as a pioneering leader.
Hidam Ibohal, a senior citizen of Sekta said that the school has been able to reach the present stage because Ibohanbi was insightful enough in establishing the school.
