Imphal, July 01 2010:
Even though most of the transporters have opted to stay away from NH-39, though a few vehicles have been taking this route since the blockade ended, the State DGP has written to the Home Ministry not to pull out the central paramilitary forces deployed along the highway until normal traffic is restored along Imphal-Dimapur route.
The DGP's representation said that pulling out central paramilitary forces from the highway would result in various problems in view of the prevailing law and order situation in Manipur.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs has asked all the North Eastern States including Manipur on their capacities to stock petroleum products so that the same may be enhanced.
