Watermelons distributed to public for free

Encouraging the Government efforts to help farmers during these difficult times, M/S Jamunalal Mangilal & Co procured watermelons from Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) and distributed it to the public free of cost.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister, N Biren Singh has launched MOMA Market mobile application for home delivery of fresh vegetables.
On the advice of CM, MOMA led by Project Director K Debadutta Sharma has been making fruits and vegetables available to the public at a cheap rate by procuring from the farmers.
This initiative of the Government is helping both the farmers and consumers through home deliveries of fruits and vegetables.
According to Hemanta Jain of M/S Jamunalal Mangilal & Co, the watermelons were distributed to people at Paona Keithel, Thangal Keithel Alu Galli and Khuyathong areas.
He said that the watermelons were procured to encourage the farmers.
MOMA, on the other hand, procured another 400 kg of bottle gourd and 900 kg of pumpkin from farmers at the Kakching district.
The vegetables are now at MOMA godown at Sanjenthong.
Farmers from Tezpur Mayai Leikai thanked the MOMA for procuring the produce to ease their burden.
