Imphal, February 10 2022:
Kuki People's Alliance (KPA) president Tongmang Haokip has said that the political organisation has been floated so as to make sure that the voices of Kukis are heard.
Speaking during the public meeting cum flag hoisting ceremony of KPA candidate in Saikul assembly constituency Kimneo Haokip Hangsing held at Saikul public ground on Thursday, the president informed that KPA has been formed with the main objective of creating a platform to mitigate and solve the problems besieging the Kuki community in the state by communicating with the government.
The party will stand firm for Kuki people at all times, he asserted.
Stating that there is no pre-poll or post-poll alliance for the party as of now, Tongmang said that the party will highlight the inconveniences of Kukis to authorities concerned so as to ensure overall development.
Regarding alliance, it will be discussed after the election results are declared, he maintained, while informing that the party will field candidates in Saikul and Singhat constituencies as it is a newly formed party.
