Kpi AC MLA chairs COVID-19 review meeting

Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen today chaired the third COVID-19 review meeting at Multipurpose Hall, DC Kangpokpi office taking stock of the current prevailing situation in the constituency.
The review meeting was also attended by newly posted SP Kangpokpi, IPS Karthik Malladi, Chief Medical Officer Dr J Touthang, SDO Kangpokpi Shyam Kumar Singh, SDO Champhai James Pani, medical officials, and representatives of the seven Covid Task Force of Kangpokpi AC.
Nemcha Kipgen said that since the formation of the Covid Task Force there have been no reports of COVID-19 deaths under Kangpokpi AC so far.
The MLA appreciated the hard work and commitment of the seven Covid Task Force and handed over Rs 10,000 each as an honorarium while she also paid the monthly honorarium for the ambulance driver who was temporarily recruited.
Various diplomatic strategies were discussed during the review meeting, where the MLA exhorted everyone to work for humankind sincerely and assured that she would always stand for humanity and ensure no loopholes come up in the fight against the dreaded pandemic in her constituency.
Later, Nemcha Kipgen distributed protective gears including sanitizers, face masks, gloves, etc to all the Covid Task Force and all the MO in charge of health care under Kangpokpi AC.
Protective gears were also provided to the police department and fire personnel by the MLA.
The MLA also handed over two oxygen concentrators to Dr Paotinlal Haokip, MS District Hospital Kangpokpi and three Oxygen concentrators to Dr Pilhing, MO PHC Kalapahar.
She also handed over four oxygen concentrators imported from Europe for emergency use apart from the other oxygen concentrators to the medical department for use at Covid Care Centre Leikop.
The local MLA also handed over rice, dal, potatoes, etc to CTF Kangpokpi and CTF Kalapahar for distribution to all the beneficiaries without Ration cards in their respective areas.
Nemcha Kipgen further urged all the other CTF to submit the list of people without Ration cards in their respective areas.
