MLA Nemcha reviews Covid situation in her AC

Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen on chaired the third review meeting held on Wednesday at Multipurpose Hall, DC Kangpokpi office to take stock of the current COVID situation in her assembly constituency.
The meeting was attended by newly posted SP Karthik Malladi, chief medical officer Dr J Touthang, SDO Shyam Kumar Singh, SDO (Champhai) James Pani, other medical officials and representatives of the seven COVID Task Force teams of Kangpokpi AC.
MLA Nemcha said that there has been no report of COVID death in the Kangpokpi AC since formation of the COVID Task Force despite the fatality count in the district reaching 36 as of June 22, adding that "when we work for humankind with love and dedication, God always helps us" .
The MLA appreciated the hard work and commitment of the COVID Task Force teams and handed over Rs 10,000 each as an honorarium.
She also paid the monthly honorarium for the ambulance driver who was temporarily recruited by her.
After the review meeting, Nemcha distributed protective materials including sanitizers, face masks and gloves to all the COVID Task Forces and MOs in charge of health care centres under Kangpokpi AC .
Protective kits were also provided to the police department and firefighting personnel by the MLA.
The MLA also handed over two oxygen concentrators to District Hospital MS Dr Paotinlal Haokip, and three oxygen concentrators to Dr Pilhing, MO PHC Kalapahar.
She also handed over four oxygen concentrators imported from Europe for emergency use apart from other oxygen concentrators to the medical department for use at COVID Care Centre Leikop.
Nemcha also distributed huge quantity of rice, dal and potatoes to CTF Kangpokpi and CTF Kalapahar for distribution among people in their respective areas.
She said that all other CTFs will be also provided rice, dal and potatoes after they submit the list of people with no ration card in their respective areas.
